The clock is running for DCC's Silk Spectre pre-orders
Pre-orders have opened for DC Collectibles' Before Watchmen 10.5-inch Silk Spectre II (Laurie Jupiter) statue. The statue, previously seen at DC Collectibles' SDCC booth, is based on the character's appearance in the Watchmen prequel entitled Before Watchmen. As previously remarked, I like this statue. It's a cool pose (even if I'm not entirely sure what she's supposed to looking up at) and features some solid, somewhat distinctive sculpting. I also like the use of color except for feeling that the skin may look a little pinkish although that could reflect the actual style of the books. The base is littered with neat little debris, a colorful mix of broken bottles, beads, and even a syringe, giving it something of a painfully blatant 70's vibe. DCC's Silk Spectre has a US$150 list price and is scheduled to release in January. [ Pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store ] Did you know?
