The circle's complete for race car driver Kamui Kobayashi

And the cycle is now complete for Good Smile Company's sponsored driver, Kamui Kobayashi. We've seen this racing star have his likeness turned into a figma figure and an adorable Nendoroid figure already. Mikatan's Blog has revealed that the cycle is now complete for the known offerings from Good Smile Company.

Later next year Good Smile Company will be releasing a 1/8 scale PVC figure of Kamui Kobayashi, something very different for this company known mostly for their anime and game related figures. It's no Hot Toys or Sideshow Collectibles figure in terms of quality but it's still a decent figure nonetheless. It's not like Good Smile Company is pumping out realistic figures left and right anyhoo.

The face is looking rather nice but the hair once again reminds me of a Square Enix Products figure release, detracting from the rest of the figure. Even with the many strands of hair sculpted, I feel the realism is lost due to how it's painted. Everything else looks good, especially the suit with the many folds, seams, and company logos. 

It's not a bad figure but definitely for the hardcore fans in my opinion. But then again, collectors might find this nifty to own since this is something out of Good Smile Company's usual realm of figure releases. If you need a little variety from Good Smile Company, look for the 1/8 scale Kamui Kobayashi figure to go up for pre-order soon.
