The Accel World train keeps going with even more Figmas!Man, they're really milking the series for all its worth aren't they? Admittedly, the amount of info isn't as large as previous months but this month, we get to see yet more shots of the Black Lotus figma as well as more glimpses of the Kuroyukihime and accompanying pig-Haruyuki avatar. But the big reveal for this month is the first proper shot of the new Red King figma, Scarlet Rain! She was announced way back but we haven't had a good look at her until now! Accompanying her first appearance is the unveiling of her fortress mode. Those of you who have been keeping up with the anime will have seen a brief shot of it during the opening sequence but you won't see it in action until this weeks episode (or next weeks...). And at this point, I have to step in and say WTF??? Those of you who have read the second volume of the novel where Scarlet Rain first appears will know exactly what I'm talking about! This anime version has almost nothing in common with the original design from the novel and is basically just a load of blocks! I was hoping that they were playing a joke in the opening where they show it off but it seems that isn't the case! For those curious, I have included an illustration of the novel version in the gallery. That one looks way better! No concrete details in terms of price or release date for Scarlet Rain but I, for one, will be avoiding that fortress armour mode like the plague!! [via 2chan] Did you know?
