Rio already broke the news about Square-Enix finally giving Final Fantasy VII's Rufus Shinra some figure lovin', but that, of course, was a mere sampling of the game-maker's offerings at this year's Tokyo Game Show. The Kingdom Hearts series remains a big seller with protagonists, Sora and Riku, getting two Play Arts Kai figures each (one in their default attire from Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and another from the Tron:Legacy world in the game). I have to say, I think Riku's more stoic expression translates better into figure form than Sora's big, innocent grin. The series will also get another set of Formation Arts, retelling special moments from the games. Sora's encounter with Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Tron:Legacy's lightcycle minigame can clearly be seen in the pictures.

As we return to the world of Final Fantasy, you will notice that both Play Arts of Tidus, Lightning, and Tifa as well as Trading Arts of some of the iconic monsters from the series can be spotted in the background of some of the pictures.

[Thanks to Tokyo Hunter for providing us with these photos! And thanks to Veila, as well, for the tip!]

ACen 2013: Bandai/Bluefin part 2

ACen 2013: Athena's Wink

This isn't what we usually cover, but it is hand-crafted collectible merchandise so I thought creations of Athena's Wink are worth taking a look at. Their booth was run by Carolann Voltarel and Carrie Wink, who spend a lot of...

ACen: Good Smile Company shows off more Miku

Good Smile Company had a lot of products on display at ACen this year. My favorite of which was Deep Sea Miku but their Nendoroid Racing Miku is pretty sweet. It looks like she has semi translucent hair and with the car and u...
