TGS 2012: Prototypes and painted Play Arts Kai pop up photo

Hope you didn't think Play Arts Kai Rufus Shinra was the only Tokyo Game Show surprise for figure collectors; there's a few others to mention, too! First, there's Japanator's Elliot Gay, who spent this week canvassing the Tokyo Game Show floor and came across the painted Play Arts Kai prototypes of Tekken's Jun Kazama and Kazuya Mishima (seen at SDCC), as well as Street Fighter's Ibuki (also seen at SDCC). Hopefully, we'll be able to bring you more on them and other new Play Arts Kai figures from New York Comic Con!

Then, we turn once again to Hideo Kojima's Twitter page, where the acclaimed video game director has been tweeting out photos of figures from his series. Alongside Naked Jehuty, we're getting a Revoltech Ardjet from Zone of the Enders, as well as what looks to be a white variant of the Play Arts Kai Raiden figure. Plus, both Raidens will have a visor that is removable.

Nendoroid Hatsune Miku 2.0 is ready to go

It feels like forever and a decade ago that we found out that (unsurprisingly) Hatsune Miku would embody Nendoroid #300. I guess it also helps that the announcement was rather forgettable, but this release preview by Mikatan ...

Shizuoka Hobby Show: Pokemon Plamo

There is more to plamo than just robots. In the past couple of years, Pokemon has gotten in on the plamo action. With several evolution sets already in production, there's a long way still to go before 649. They're inching ev...

Tomopop Review: Kotobukiya's Tekken Bishoujo Lili

I haven't played a lot of Tekken games in my life, but I am enjoying Kotobukiya's Tekken Bishoujo figures. Overall, it's a solid line of figures. The latest one to arrive is Emilie de Rochefort, otherwise known as Lili. This figure has its unique charms, as I was pleased to discover during the review process. Read on to see what I mean!
