Teimaru's Koibito customs are gorgeous and mysterious photo

I'm a big fan of the original Yosake Yamamoto Koibito figure, and I love that it's one of those forms you can really do anything with. It's also the type of thing that begs to be customized, and in this instance I really think the artist did a grand job. We spotted these over at SpankyStokes, and they were created by a French custom artist who goes by the name of Teimaru.

The Guradian is the one on the right and The Abyssus is the one on the left. The artist says of his own creative process:

"First, I put the Koibito's on my desk, and look at them for a long time, traveling in my mind, searching for what these toys "tells me", inspire me, and how I'll transfer that into the custom I'll create.... In the case of the Koibitos, it told me about a Warrior, sacred, tribal way."

Very cool indeed. Check out his Flickr for more detailed shots of these two. We'll be keeping an eye on this guy as well -- talk about talented!
