Fans of Tamura Manami from Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai were either pleased or utterly disappointed when A+ opened pre-orders on their 1/4.5 scale release of this childhood friend.
Though it's nice to have a figure of Manami that is not trading figure size, A+ once again shows their laziness in this release. I suppose A+ is just wanting to match quality with Manami's character. If that is the case, I applaud them on this because it shows. At 1/4.5 scale, where is the detail? The figure is very flat for its sculpt and color and really just looks like a blown up trading figure. Sure the details are sharper on areas like the painted eyes and edges of the mold but you could get the same with a 1/8 scale PVC figure.
It certainly is better than their previous releases but they want ¥13,500 for this? This overpriced, needlessly scaled, unnecessary material, and absolutely plain figure? Honestly, A+ has only been surviving with the ludicrous pricing since all their releases have been T&A figures that you can strip down so it'll be interesting to see how Manami does in sales when she's released in December.
