WeLoveFine's Dota 2 Shagbark plush unlocks a digital version photo
WeLoveFine's Dota 2 Shagbark plush unlocks a digital version
by Natalie Kipper

WeLoveFine is quickly becoming a company to watch for in the world of plush toys. They are now branching beyond their recently-released Talking Puppycat and several Catbug plushes into the realm of Valve's Dota 2 with the all-new Shagbark plush. Made in collaboration with Matthew Bailey (also known as Cyborgmatt), the original creator of the Shagbark character, this adorable critter is currently available on WeLoveFine's online store for the price of US$45.

Shagbark is 11 inches-tall and 7 inches-long. He features two removable plush owls that rest on his antlers (they re-attact by magnets), a poseable tongue, removable sunglasses, and a faux leather belt with a plush pouch and blanket roll. The plush will ship with a coupon code that nabs you your own "Genuine Shagbark the Plush" in Dota 2. Between the unlock code and the lovely toy itself, I would say this is a package that many gamers will find hard to pass up.

SDCC 2013: ThreeA - Valve, Halo and other licenses
by Brian Szabelski

Parked inside IDW's booth for another year is ThreeA Toys, and instead of bringing a ton of figures like they did last year, the ThreeA crew have opted for the "less is more" approach. In particular, they've brought a ton of new prototypes to the show. That includes some figures that are making their big debut here in San Diego, and at least one of them is a very notable face ... or helmet.

Hit the jump for some of the details on the new licensed figure prototypes that were on display!

NECA's Team Fortress 2 Series 3 figures revealed photo
NECA's Team Fortress 2 Series 3 figures revealed
by Brian Szabelski

The folks at Figures.com got a cool tour of NECA's workshop in New Jersey, and while there, they got a few peeks at upcoming releases. Specifically in this post, we're going to highlight the two Team Fortress 2 figures they saw in the works for series 3: the Engineer and Spy. Best "friends"* forever coming out in the same set? How cute.

The photos show that the Engineer is complete but still being worked on, and he'll come with his pistol, wrench and toolbox, while the Spy is still in the sculpting stages. They have about 8 weeks left to work on the duo if they're going to be at San Diego Comic Con, and I'm suspecting they will be. Still, can't wait to pre-order them and add them to my team, though I don't know if I want to go with RED or BLU now ... decisions, decisions.

[*Editor's note: If you've never played TF2, the Spy is a hard counter to the Engineer and his buildings. And really fun to play when you know what you're doing.]

Psychobob is building a Sentry photo
Psychobob is building a Sentry
by Brian Szabelski

Psychobob is back with a new 3-D printed piece, and sticking with the Valve theme, he's made the Sentry Gun from Team Fortress 2. Be still, my beating little heart. Furthermore, Psychobob has made all three levels of the Sentry Gun ... or rather, parts that you can pick up to assemble the Sentry Gun at each level. Yes, he's selling them on his Shapeways shop.

All the pieces come unpainted, so you'll need to do the detailing that makes them look so pretty. Even though I don't normally indulge in kits of this nature, my TF2 love is compelling me to look into getting all three part sets.

For more photos, check out Psychobob's blog. We've also put a video of the Sentry Gun kits after the jump to check out. Do any of you out there feel like I do about this?
