It's WonFes time, which means Good Smile Company (and associates) will be out with all guns blazing. As usual they've put up their Wonderful Hobby Life For You site with a summary of all the stuff they're showing off. I'm alw...

by Scarecroodle

Kahotan has previewed Phat Company's 1/8-scale Miki Hoshii, which is also available for pre-order.

This crazy adorable figure comes an interchangeable glasses piece, allowing you to display her without or without the prop (although there aren't many reasons to go without). It's an absolutely endearing design with a good amount of detail.  Miki will run you around ¥7,992 and is slated for a February release.

Wonder Festival 2014 Summer: Good Smile Company - miscellaneous

Continuing with Good Smile Company's (and associates) apparently near-infinite display at WonFes, we arrive at some Attack on Titan figures and a bunch of Sonicos. GSC usually does a decent job with Sonico figures in that I d...

Wonder Festival 2014 Summer: Good Smile Company - Vocaloids

Now that we're seeing more and more creative takes on Vocaloid designs, I'm actually enjoying their presence. It looks like the days of the same boring Miku design being made over and over again are done with. Good Smile Comp...

Delays hit Max Factory's Cerberus, Phat Company's Ryuko and more

Ah, the Good Smile Company delay announcement post. It's like an old familiar friend at this point, popping up once or twice a month to shatter our hopes and dreams, and then riding off into the sunset. While Deep Sea Miku re...

Good Smile Company unveils Summer Wonder Festival exclusives photo
Good Smile Company unveils Summer Wonder Festival exclusives
by Martin Siggers

Is it really almost Wonder Festival time again? Yes, though it might be difficult to believe, the biannual celebration of all things figure is almost upon us, and as ever headliner Good Smile Company has some neat exclusives to announce. Rather than a long drawn out tease like usual though, instead the company has just decided to cut to the chase and reveal everything all at once. Without further ado then, your WonFes exclusives are...

There are also two event-only charms of Wo-Class, plus the announcement of an online exclusive Ninja Slayer figma, although we've got no more details on that one yet.

As ever, GSC will have a limited quantity of exclusives on the floor (500 for the Dekacchu, 2500 for everything else) but those unable to attend will be able to grab any of the six main releases from the Good Smile Online Shop between 27th July and the 4th August. Any readers tempted to crack open your wallets for these?

[UPDATED] Phat Company's Satsuki Kiryuuin bares all for pre-orders [NSFW] photo
[UPDATED] Phat Company's Satsuki Kiryuuin bares all for pre-orders [NSFW]
by Martin Siggers

[ Update - Pre-orders are go! ]

We last saw Phat Company's take on scowling Kill La Kill antagonist Satsuki Kiryuuin in scans, but now Kahotan has dropped an official preview on us and she's looking great, albeit extremely thinly clad.

Like Ryuko before her, Satsuki is portrayed in her transformed 'Kamui Junketsu' form, which roughly translates to 'wearing an outfit that would make a stripper blush'. If you can get over that though there's some really nice work to be appreciated here - strong dynamic pose, crisp lines and a fabulous mane of hair flying out behind her.The angry-looking serious face is spot on too.

Pre-orders are open now, so if you've got a display private enough for her, Satsuki can be yours. She'll cost a (pretty reasonable) 8,148 and will hit store shelves this November. Hit the links below to grab her.

Plug in and pre-order Phat Company's Nanami Chiaki

Phat Company seem to be branching into larger, more ambitious sculpts recently and this new figure of Chiaki Nanami from Super Dangan Ronpa 2 is one of their most ambitious yet. That's a good thign though, as ambition se...

Tomopop Review: Phat Company's Caster EXTRA photo
Tomopop Review: Phat Company's Caster EXTRA
by Tianxiao Ma

Keeping track of the various casts of the Fate franchise is beyond my patience, so I'll just say this Caster is the one featured in Fate/Extra CCC. The original Caster in Fate/stay night was rather dour while this one is... I think "bouncy" is the right word.

Phat Company's portfolio consists of many fanciful character designs from games and anime. This Caster figure caught my eye, being irresistibly cute and fun-looking. Read on to see how she fares!
