[UPDATED WITH WINNER] Come up with a great idea using MAQETs and win it! photo
[UPDATED WITH WINNER] Come up with a great idea using MAQETs and win it!
by Brian Szabelski

[UPDATE: Sorry about the delay, but we've got ourselves a winner: Scarecroodle! Send an e-mail to brian (at) tomopop.com and we'll get everything all set!]

There's a lot more to MAQET than designing and collecting their characters. You can use their collectibles to personalize gifts, commemorate occasions, create 3D photo collages and color-coordinated accent pieces, and a whole lot more. In fact, they've set up a Project Ideas page to see what other people are doing with MAQET, which should come in handy for our newest contest!

For the next two weeks, MAQET and Tomopop are inviting you to show your character. What would YOU do with MAQET? Be creative, be edgy, be thoughtful, be yourself! Leave a comment on this post sharing your idea, including as much description as possible. We're looking for ideas on what you might do with MAQET: for example, say the local art house cinema is doing another production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, so they put the Rocky Horror logo and each cast member's name on a Lil' Bruiser as a souvenir of the experience. Or perhaps as a modern-day version of taking kids somewhere for a birthday party where they can "customize" ceramics, except using laptops and MAQETs instead.

You can incorporate multiple MAQETs in your plan. This prize has a maximum retail value of $300, which translates to a dozen small MAQETs, six big MAQETs or some combination of the two.

The contest is open to anyone, anywhere, but you MUST be a fan of MAQET on Facebook. The contest closes on Tuesday, Oct. 18, (one week  4 2 days left from today!and on Wednesday, Oct. 19, we will present the top 5 ideas as a community-voted poll on the Tomopop forums. On Monday, Oct. 24, we'll announce the winner! MAQET will then create the idea in 3D and ship a box of joy straight to your door. Good luck, and we can't wait to see what you come up with!
