Revoltech goes small with new revolMiNi line

Revoltech hasn't held much attention lately. It's kind of saddening, but the line has failed to capture our imaginations with licenses and the actual product like figma and Figuarts have. That's not to say that Kaiyodo is any...

TMNT becomes TMNR: Teenage Mutant Ninja Revoltechs

Say what you will about Kaiyodo's Revoltech line but it is, in fact, not dead. Despite facing stiff competition from companies like Max Factory and Bandai, the Revoltech line has continued to find niches in the marketplace wh...

Kaiyodo's Hyper Sofubi Ultraman is a big, big deal

You ever look at your shelf and think there's something a little off about your Kamen Rider being the same height as your Ultraman? Kaiyodo's new Hyper Sofubi Ultraman is just the thing to correct that little annoyance. Made ...

Kaiyodo's Revoltech The Bat rises for a preview photo
Kaiyodo's Revoltech The Bat rises for a preview
by Brian Szabelski

The latest addition to the Tokusatsu Revoltech website is a page for the upcoming figure of The Bat. Yep, a poseable figure of Batman's craft from The Dark Knight Rises is coming in June, and it looks as odd at first glance as you might expect. It's also a chance for us to see the figure fully painted up close.

So what accessories does it come with? Well, besides the stand, you get a tiny Batman to sit inside the cockpit. He's not super detailed, just enough so you know that it's the Dark Knight. Kaiyodo's suggested retail price before taxes is ¥4,743 so I'd imagine it'll be a little closer to ¥5,000 at retail. I'm not sure I'm going to pick this one up because it's really for a niche audience (Nolanverse Batman fans), but what about you?

Why, hello there, Revoltech Hello Kitty

Revoltech's rapid repaints/rereleases run rampant

There was a time when new Revoltech figures came as frequently as figma do today. These days Kaiyodo seems content with releasing a few new figures every month next to a pile of reissues and repaints. In October it was the th...

Tomopop Review: Revoltech Takeya Ashura Wood Grain Ver. photo
Tomopop Review: Revoltech Takeya Ashura Wood Grain Ver.
by Scarecroodle

Kaiyodo has long distinguished its Revoltech line from the competition by covering darn near everything. Even if you combined all of Bandai's -arts lines you wouldn't come close to the level of variety found within Kaiyodo's Revoltech offerings. Perhaps one of the most surprising selections is Kaiyodo's Takeya Buddhist Statue Collection, which recreates statues of various Buddhist deities... except they're still articulate. Kind of creepy, really.

One of the neat things about the Buddhist Statue Collection is all the variants. Although we'll be looking at a Wood Grain Version of Ashura today, he was also available in a red "painted" deco as well as a bronze edition.

Check out the review after the jump.
