SDCC 2014: Cardboard Spaceship

Sure, we've seen Cardboard Spaceship's Thimblestump Hollow figures, but what about the rest of the booth? It was a small booth, but there were still other pieces on display, including customs from Carson Catlin, DrilOne, Reac...

SDCC 2014: Symbiote Studios

The folks at Symbiote Studios have put their new license to quick use, as they've already got a Warframe figure available. The 8-inch Excalibur figure isn't too badly detailed, though he does really feel like a figure th...

Attend CarsonCon from the comfort of your home

Not attending SDCC? You're not alone: neither am I, nor is Carson Catlin, it looks like. Carson has announced CarsonCon, his own little not-at-SDCC event which is taking place at his online shop right now. Seriously, right no...

Funko announces last batch of SDCC exclusives and new Fabrikation photo
Funko announces last batch of SDCC exclusives and new Fabrikation
by Vanessa Cubillo

So we’ve finally reached the end of Funko’s SDCC exclusives. I’ve seen some cool things, some alright things, and stuff I don’t really care about. Still, I would love to score some of this stuff.

Their last batch is small, just four exclusives. The first two comes from Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. There will be special bloody ReAction figures of Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield.

These exclusives end with two very random Pop! figures. There will be an exclusive of Huckleberry Hound and Gabriel from LMS. Today, Funko also announced the latest figure from their new line, Fabrikation.

There will be a cute and cuddly soft sculpture figure of Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy. Good news, it’s not an exclusive so we can all get this cute little guy!

Three new custom figures from SoKo Cat arrive photo
Three new custom figures from SoKo Cat arrive
by Brian Szabelski

SoKo Cat has some new customs in her shop, with a "B" theme to them. By that, I mean bunnies, broccoli, and 'bots:

  • A custom version of Paul Shih's Bevil, the Broccoflower edition, with some re-paints on Bevil's body to make him look a little more like a blend of broccoli and cauliflower. Sadly this little guy has already sold out.
  • Peter Kato's Bedtime Bunny, in both small and medium versions, in a summertime colorway with some bright colors (US$35 small, US$40 medium)
  • Rotten Daughter's robot has gotten a custom rusting from SoKo Cat, with its heart also salvaged from its body. (US$60)

You can find the ones that aren't sold out in SoKo Cat's shop.

A look at DKE's 2014 SDCC exclusives photo
A look at DKE's 2014 SDCC exclusives
by Brian Szabelski

So DKE Toys have already shown off their exclusives from Motorbot and Scott Wilkowski ... but there are far, far more coming to their booth this year (#5045). So many, in fact, that it's rather impractical to do individual posts for all of them.

Of course, that's exactly what we've done, and as it turns out, there's a lot of Star Wars-themed pieces that will be at their booth. Particularly, Boba and Jango Fett-themed ones, mixed in with a bunch of resin releases from smaller figure makers and individual artists.

Check out the full list of all the other planned releases after the jump!

Kuso Vinyl dishes up two SDCC releases photo
Kuso Vinyl dishes up two SDCC releases
by Brian Szabelski

As they've done in years past, Kuso Vinyl will be at San Diego Comic Con in 2014, taking over booth #5642 for the show and bringing along two exclusives.

The first of those is the Luckitty American Dreampon, which screams America (or excuse me, 'MURICA) by outfitting Luckitty-pon in a Captain America theme. A total of 200 pieces are being made, priced at US$12 each.

If that's not your style, you can also go with the Darko Minicel OG edition, a dragon-styled Minicel with a sinister red stare. Like the Luckitty-pon colorway, this is a run of 200 pieces, priced at US$20. Do either of these colorways catch your eye? I sure like the Luckitty-pon variant myself!

Get ready for more Game of Thrones SDCC exclusives from Funko photo
Get ready for more Game of Thrones SDCC exclusives from Funko
by Vanessa Cubillo

We’ve seen some Game of Thrones exclusives already from Funko, but today’s seventh announcement really focuses on this HBO hit show. The first exclusive announcement contains many spoilers! If you are not up to date with the show, or haven’t even watched and want to later, go away right now!

Funko will be releasing an exclusive Game of Thrones Mystery Minis series consisting of characters who have died. The series will be called “In Memoriam,” and there will be eight figures included all in black and white. I’m not naming them to avoid spoilers, but if you look at the photos, you can see who they are.

There will also be an exclusive Pop! figure of Ghost flocked. If you like the flocked style, there will also be a flocked exclusive Pop! Lion-O from ThunderCats. Also from ThunderCats, there will be a glow in the dark Mumm-Ra.

Ending on an extremely random note, there will also be a SDCC exclusive Pop! of Sharknado. This time he’s all bloody!

Jamungo reveals Redjack for Rotofugi's SDCC booth photo
Jamungo reveals Redjack for Rotofugi's SDCC booth
by Brian Szabelski

Jamungo have announced a few exclusives for SDCC, and specifically, they've given us info on their Rotofugi exclusive, Redjack. The newest Squadt army member includes two sets of arms (classic and 2.1 versions), a shotgun with translucent red accents, grey cap, hoodie, and removable helmet, but it otherwise a pretty standard version of the Squadt Jack figure.

A total of 125 are being made, with 75 at SDCC and 50 being saved for members of the Collect and Destroy forums. Specifically, 15 will be available at Rotofugi's booth (#5248) on each day of the convention for US$135 each.

In addition to that exclusive, Lulubell's booth (#5047) is going to be home to some new Young Gohst sculpts, micro-run figures and one-off customs. So it sounds as if you're a Jamungo fan/obsessive Squadt collector, you'll have some busy work to do to grab everything they might have at SDCC.
