Stu Witter shows off a bunch of new customs photo

Stu Witter's been a busy fellow this week, posting a ton of new photos of commissions and other customs on his Flickr. So what's be been up to? Well:

- First, we have two custom Stormtroopers Stu did, one based off Dudebox's The Dude and the other a 5-inch MADL. Both seem to do a pretty good job of keeping their original shape and style while also conforming to the look of a Stormtrooper ... but I think they're a little bit short height-wise.

Yes, that's a semi-obligatory reference.

- Stu has also taken a custom Arkiv figure and turned it into Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It also comes with his staff, and it's probably the one that brings the most nostalgic memories back to me. It also reminds me that, yet again, I was the idiot who gave up my TMNT figures to my cousins. Good job, past me ...

- Third, there's the Wolverine B52 Commander. No, not the superhero, but the actual beast that will tear you limb from limb. The most custom-heavy of his customs, our pilot friend is made from a Munnyworld Bub and Dunny pieced together and sculpted over, then painted beautifully. Check out the little cap and the bomber jacket he's sporting. Awesome!

- Finally, there's Puff, Stu's custom Kracka for the upcoming Dragons show at SHO Gallery in Cardiff, Wales. His name makes sense because he's a green dragon smoking a cigarette. Get it? Now you do. What's also nice to note is that while it's a simpler custom, the painting job here is very, very clean.

Meet Davidkraig at Kidrobot NY's May 18 customizing event

Want to come check out some live customizing and meet artist Davidkraig? If you're in New York City, you can do that on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. Eastern at Kidrobot New York (118 Prince St., SoHo, Manhattan).  As for what he'll be working on ... I'm not too sure. But you've seen his work before, and I assume he'll be sculpting out/painting something just as impressive for the event.
