Steven Miller teases upcoming Vinylmation 'Popcorns' set

I was just reading a post on the Disney Parks Blog about the various popcorn flavors and offerings available in the resort areas when Steven Miller (Disney Merchandise Communications Manager and author of aforementioned popcorn post) writes:

"Thomas Scott, a lead Vinylmation designer, told me that the 'Disney Design Group artists have re-imagined favorite Disney characters by giving them a hot, fresh look you’ve never seen before.' Apparently, this new kind of Vinylmation will “pop” into locations in late summer 2012."

In the header and gallery is the one teaser image, which looks like Mickey Mouse himself as a popcorn bag (?) with a popped corn face on a completely new mold!

So what do you think, Tomofolk? Is this new mold a stride in the right direction, or have you no interest at all in these delicious treats turned inedible vinyl? For me, it really all depends on whether they come with a price hike.
