Star Wars Muppets figures are coming ... STAR WARS MUPPETS!

5:00 PM on 06.01.2011 // Cristian Alvernaz

Crossovers, the stuff bad fan-fiction is made of! Every once in a while, we get a crossover idea that is a spark of sheer genius, and this happens to be one of them! In the off chance you missed the header image, I'm speaking of none other than Muppets as Star Wars characters.

Disney has given us Star Wars crossover characters before, with their own stable of characters doing the crossover (Stitch as Emperor Palpatine remaining a favorite) but utilizing the Muppets in this fashion feels more appropriate than Mickey Mouse (Pigs in Space, anyone?). And unlike those previous figures, these will be poseable!

When the figures launch at the Disney Parks this fall, we can expect to seem them packaged two to a case. We'll see Kermit the Frog as Luke Skywalker grouped with Miss Piggy as Princess Leia, Link Hogthrob as Han Solo and his buddy Fozzy as Chewbacca, Beaker as C3PO and Dr. Bunsen Honeydew as R2D2, and Sam Eagle as ObiWan Kenobi with Gonzo as Darth Vader with an accessory Camilla as a Stormtrooper.

If the line continues to include more characters, who else would you like to see as Star Wars characters? Scooter as Lando? Dr. Teeth as Boba Fett? Swedish Chef as JarJar Binks!?
