Square Enix finally shows Final Fantasy XIII's Serah Farron in color photo

Back at Toy Fair earlier this year, Square Enix revealed the unpainted, non-jointed prototype for Bible Black's Imari Kurumi Final Fantasy XIII's Serah Ferron. Since then, the company has been quiet about this release until now. With preorders opening, color images have now surfaced for what this lady who is not from Bible Black will look like.

The 205mm tall figure of the Play Arts Kai line suffers once again from bad hair just like the other releases. Sure, there are many lines there to show detail but it just looks like like a lump of plastic. This is action figure quality. Which is also evident in her exposed joints. Normally exposed joints don't bother me but Square Enix Product's take on the poseable figure looks down-right dreadful here. The uniform and transparent coat are well done and she has a cute face. And... those are the only positives I can point out.

Serah is retailing for 4,200 yen and is now available for preorder at Hobby Search with an expected release date in October. Also available is a re-release of Snow Villiers who is retailing for 4,000 yen and will see a September release. MOAR Square-Enix:

Legacy Comments

I don't like the joints and agree about the face looking like Imari lol.
Finally a final retail unit! She looks great, day one purchase =)
I've become a Figma snob. I love FFXIII but these just don't look appealing to me unless they were Figma. Those joints are so 1999.
Derpy face + hideous joints + worse QC than your average $20 Revoltech + $40 price tag = NO. I'm honestly not gonna buy any Square-Enix products until they stop insulting us with these prices. If they were $25 (like the normal, higher-quality Play Arts), I'd gladly get the FFXIII line, but until then, no buy.
I agree with Jon, I've never been terribly impressed with PA figures due to the high visibility of joints. Had the same issue with quite a few Marvel Legends, particularly the Toy Biz female sculpts.
Yeah... I don't think so. They just look so cheaply made, like a Spider-Man figure or something I had as a kid, the joints are horrendous! As much as I love FFXIII I am going to have to pass on this one.
