I'll admit to being less than enthusiastic after seeing the initial photo of the painted Amazing Spider-Man Nendoroid but was more impressed by the follow-up images. Now that he's up for pre-order I have to make the heroic choice between saving a spot on my shelf for a figure I might love or saving the money in my wallet because it's the responsible thing to do (thankfully there's no Green Goblin around forcing me to make my decision right this instant).

The Spider-Man Nendoroid (or Spideroid, as I like to call him) comes with a little New York city street diorama and web-shooting accessories (but no web-swinging accessories?!).  Apparently he also comes with a suction cup that can be attached to his support, presumably if you want him hanging or bouncing off the walls. Plus he has solid articulation by Nendoroid standards.

While I find Spideroid to be a fairly neat figure, I am somewhat inclined to agree that his proportions don't seem to be entirely inline with other Nendoroids. I don't really hold that against him greatly because he's cool in his own rights, not to mention that some of those jumping poses are reminiscent of Viewtiful Joe.

However, the bigger thing on everybody's minds is probably the question of whether we're going to get a Lizard Nendoroid (or Lizaroid, as I shall call it). Until then you can pre-order Spideroid (or the Amazing Spider-Man Nendoroid) from the following places:
