Southerndrawl's Bic Buddy Custom Show piece explores Einstein's secret dream photo

There's nothing like a good custom show to remind me why I love vinyl so much, and the Bic Buddy Custom Show at Crewest looks to be exactly that. Southerndrawl will be represented at the show with this very cool custom Bic Buddy that's Albert Einstein as a weightlifter. According to Drawl: "...Einstein never quite gave up his dreams of joining the circus. He excelled in many other things and had a very fulfilling life, but part of him always wondered 'just, what if...'"

I love not only the style Drawl's gone with here, reminiscent of his earlier circus creations, but with all the Einstein-related details he added in, like the equations as arm tattoos. Oh, and he's reconstructed the Bic Buddy's arms to be jointed, so Einsten can actually lift the weright above his head. Fun and functional!

The Bic Buddy Custom Show opens March 27 at Crewest (110 Winston St., Los Angeles, Calif.) starting at 6 p.m.  And for you New York people, a second opening will be April 9 at Zakka (155 Plymouth Street, Brooklyn, NY). If you can go either opening, I'd suggest going, as it seems like it'll be an awesome show!
