Oh me and my Dragon Ball Z dedication. The show's been done for years now but I can't let it go. And neither can anyone else apparently, least of which toy companies still making money off the franchise, hence why Dragon Ball Kai is so damned popular with everyone again. Thankfully, what's good for business is good for us as well. Case in point, one kickass PVC Son Goku model here from Medicos Entertainment Inc. Hooray! The Super Saiyan still lives!
Standing at 23cm tall, the Dragon Ball Super Figure Art Collection - Super Saiyan Son Goku Ver. 2 comes fully painted and ready for non-moveable action. The images available for viewing show off how detailed and downright awesome the piece looks, hopefully not coming down to just fancy tricks like how ice cream companies don't usually show pictures of their ice cream, instead taking photos of mashed potatoes as a stand-in. Don't believe me? Look it up, yo.
At ¥8,800 (US$109), my heart is broken. There's no way I can afford this thing, but I suppose on the up side I'd have to import this anyway, so it's not in my immediate world. Regardless, if you yourself live in Japan, Son Goku goes on pre-order at local hobby stores on Thursday with an expected late July release window. Given the money and the resources, I'd buy every single DBZ thing that ever comes out, mostly because I don't know how to let go of my childhood, but for now I'm without a Super Saiyan. Am I the only one?
