Skullyboom becomes BoomBotix due to trademark appeal from Skullcandy

We heard from our friends at the formerly named Skullyboom that due to a claim from headphones company Skullcandy, they had to go for a name change. This can always be a difficult thing when a legal struggle ensues, so Skullyboom has made the decision to go with a new company name for their adorable skull-themed music products: BoomBotix.

BoomBotix tell us that it may take a few months to see the change on all products, and the skull and crossbones logo will become a circular skull with thicker crossbones "as a symbol of increased strength". We support BoomBotix in their new venture and are glad to see they decided to keep on trucking even under challenging circumstances. Keep rocking, guys!
