Shunya Yamashita changes the face of Ikkitousen photo

Wow. Just wow. Thanks to the combined efforts of master artist Shunya Yamashita and designers Daiki Kougyou, the oft-over-produced Ryomou from Ikkitousen may have just gotten a stunning new lease on life. Despite this glut of figures that's almost as overwhelming as the flood of Kanu Unchou designs, it looks like there is now a Ryomou that stands head and shoulders above the rest.

We know Yamashita can make anything a thousand times sexier, but if you ask me this is even outdoing his usual outstanding work. The outfit is just gorgeous, and the little shimmer of gloss dabbed on her lips is a wonderfully inspired little detail that isn't seen anywhere near often enough. On top of that, even for being an Ikkitousen figure, Ryomou doesn't look the least bit skanky--heck, that expression is downright sweet.

It's disappointing, then, that such a character defining figure is going to be nearly impossible to get one's hands on. Made for Wonder Festival, she's going to set the lucky few buyers back a jaw-dropping 18,000 yen, thanks to being lovingly cast in more expensive resin. On top of this, it appears that only forty of these beauties will be made in the first place. If anyone out there actually manages to add this to their shelves, well. Know that I'll be silently loathing you from afar. Somehow.

Oh, Yamashita. You make everything you touch divine.
That is so hot.
Wait a sec...180'000 yen?! Is that a mistake? How big is this figure then? Thats almost $2000!

Thanks for catching that! Those extra zeroes like to slip in out of nowhere! It's 18,000 yen, still nothing to relax over, unfortunately.
Hmm...if this was hand painted it might be worth it but apparently the kit comes unassembled and unpainted so ~$200 is totally not worth it imo.

But thats coming from someone who can't paint Gks at all...
shunya yamashita? meh.

I have my eyes fixed on a very specific WF resin kit, and this ain't it!!!
I liked the "flying" handcuffs and the one leg base, it gives a sense of moviment for the figure.
