Zero has been one of my grails for quite some time now, and I was lucky enough to find him for a reasonable price about a month back. He was shipped from a land far, far away called Singapore (I think that's somewhere near Narnia), so it took quite some time for him to arrive at my door, but oh man was he worth the wait. He popped up in our Best of PVC post, and for good reason. Lulu is drool-worthy in almost every way possible.

Zero comes with three different heads and two sets of arms--the above is my favorite combo, and is how I have him displayed now. The helmet is just so cool! The entire figure is very accurate to the character; the exaggerated limbs, his stick-thin body, and the overwhelming collar of his cape are all reproduced perfectly. On a funny side note, because he came from overseas there was a customs form attached, and it said "contents: zero." Bet that confused some postal workers!

There's just enough detailing on the back of the cape to keep it interesting, but no so much that you are overwhelmed with wrinkles and shadowing. I love that you get a hint of the red on the inside of the collar from the back--it keeps Zero interesting from many different angles.

Does Lelouch have a sword in the anime? I am about 5 episodes away from the end of R2, but so far no sword. Not that it really matters, because the sword looks kick-ass. Apparently some people had problems with theirs breaking at the hilt, but mine came out of the box just fine.

Zero comes with two Lelouch heads, and one of them is using his Geass. I COMMAND YOU TO BUY THIS TOY! He also comes with an arm to hold the helmet, so you can display it with him when he's not wearing it. The arms take a bit of wiggling to get in and out (do you know how hard it is for me not to make a "that's what she said" joke here?) but it's not that difficult.

The second head is just regular old scary-looking Lulu, ready to make you dance around for no reason at the drop of a hat. You can take the cape off to display him without it, though I personally think he looks better with it on. You can see a bit of the seams where the arms meet the body, but it is not really that noticeable, especially with the cape on. And hey, every figure has at least one flaw--and with Zero, that is about the only thing wrong. The paint is pretty much perfect, no quality control issues at all.

Zero's base is actually rather interesting to look at. A lot of figures just have a plain circle or square, but this one is actually well thought out. I love the Geass symbol above his name! It's also very compact, no wider than the actual figure with the cape on. I've had figures with bases so big I could barely fit them on a shelf, but this is not an issue with Zero.

Did I mention that he is huge? At 10", he towers over my other 1/8 scale figures. I am so used to female figures that 8" is about the standard for 1/8th scale in my collection, but it's nice to have a guy to keep them all in check. God knows what those ladies would get up to left unattended!

And now Lelouch vi Britannia commands you to check out the gallery for more pictures of his regal awesomeness!
