Oh my. Where to begin? Well, I'll just go with I normally do and blame my best friend for this. After all, it is her fault that I am into figure collecting and it is her fault for introducing me to her beautiful doll collection. And sending me links of dolls. And talking to me about dolls. It wasn't an everyday occurrence but it was enough to pique my interests.
Enough so to finally make the dive when she showed me Volks' Dollfie Dream Dynamite ALNA. When I saw her face, it was love at first sight. Er, I mean ... I liked what I saw. Compared to the other dolls I've seen by Volks (and anyone else for that matter), there was a unique shape and style to Alna that just said "absolutely gorgeous" to me.
So, I entered the lottery, won, $550.00 spent, and a few months later Alna finally arrived. Well, back in Houston but I had my family immediately ship her to my new home in Austin cause I wanted her so bad. Hit the jump and come experience with me my first Volks Dollfie.
[Notice: The doll features some parts that are anatomically correct and can be considered NSFW.]

What's in the box? Another box! Off to an awesome start! And you know what was inside that box? Another one! And another! And another! Okay, not quite. But can you imagine!?

On opening the true box that contained the doll, I was presented with three documents. One introducing me to the Dollfie Dream series of dolls, another one explaining me what to do as a first time receiver of a Volks doll, and ...

My very own membership card! Woo! Official member! Too bad I'm in Texas where nothing Volks related happens. TOSS!

Here is the box, protected by a plastic sleeve. The box informs me that this is the Cyber Age Hybrid Body Dollfie Dream. Not sure what there is that's exactly "cyber" about it nor do I see anything "hybrid." Need more scorpion tails and claws.

Eye see you~! Huzzah creepy factor!

Inside the box is more information explaining the joint system of the Dollfie Dream and how to take care of it. What? I have to be responsible? Dag nabbit! With the doll being vinyl, I have to be very careful about it being stained from clothing and other materials.
Also included is an original Japanese flyer for Alna as well as a catalog showcasing the various dolls, parts, and accessories by Volks. Someone hide my wallet!

The clothing set comes bagged together while the boots and wig are stored separately. Hit the gallery for shots of each individual piece.

When I see the doll body like this, I feel like it belongs in some anime or manga about an android. The base body stands at about an impressive 22 inches tall.
The doll does feature some parts that are anatomically correct ... yes. Naughty bits.
As you can see the doll body is very, very well endowed. This aspect was something that really worried me before I had her shipped. But I eventually got over as I dressed her. It's really not that bad.

The reason I had to have this specific doll. Look at that face! Even bald she's so beautiful to gaze at.

Tee hee ... underwear. I had to share this. Apparently it is very uncommon for the dolls to be included with underwear.

Topless, yes, but a little more decent now that she has underwear on. Putting the underwear on was a rather odd experience. My biggest problem was wondering if there were too high or too low. Cripes, I haven't worn tighty whiteys since I was a child! And why was I concerned with it? Not like she's going to be prancing around in them! ... Right. Moving on.
If you've read some of my posts in the past, you may know that I have a thing for curvy hips. This body is no disappointment. Well ... except for when I was dressing her with the rest of her clothes ... blasted hips!

So I put on the garter belt and pull up the stockings. You can get a closer look at her hips here.

And she's no longer topless! A bit of some work to get her top closed in the back due to her massive chest.
Come on! Look at that face! Very lovely for being bald.

And dressed! With a dress!

Eep! Eep! I'm a monkey! Er, I mean ... now with her coat on! Unfortunately, one of her buttons came off. It looks like the stitch did not go completely through and finally slipped off. Boo~

Killer boots are on! If I didn't have my best friend tell me that I don't have to be too delicate in handling these dolls, this probably would have taken me forever. But nope! Jam that foot in and zip up!

And here we are! One sexy box of Cap'n Crunch! When I saw that in the grocery store, I just couldn't pass it up! Right, back to the doll. Completely dressed and looking quite elegant. Well, minus the bed head going on there. Will have to comb that out.

I cannot stop looking at her face. It's so gentle and innocent along with that sweet smile. Madly in love with it.

So pretty ...

Again, this body type is rather generous in the size of her breasts. And they're squishy, too! In that hollow, pushing in on vinyl sort of way. You'll probably have to go to your oppai mousepad for something softer?

Completely unintentional but for some unknown reason, I like how this photo came out. Wish I had her choker on. Drats!

80s hair is GO! Didn't all the female movie stars have a hairstyle like this? I'm looking at you Farrah Fawcett! Huh? That's 70s? Whatever!

Nice casual look.

And with the family. Even sitting, I could not get Alna to go into my display case. Luckily I had a little wooden table that works perfectly as a bench.
So it has begun. I've taken the first step into a whole new world and it is sucking me in. I already have interest in trying new hairstyles and new clothes. Looking through the provided catalog, there are so many cute accessories and other items. There's a cat ear hood! Cripes! See what it's doing to me! I'm doomed!
I also feel that when compared to all my figures, it seems lonely to have Alna on her own. I want her to have a buddy. Preferably one with a more average bust size but just as gorgeous as a face. I'm sure my best friend will keep me in formed. Oh, crud buckets! I'm doubly doomed!
Ultimately, I will plan to start slow. This stuff ain't cheap. I'm thinking wigs first as hairstyles are a deciding factor for me in my figure purchases. Maybe I'll find something nice when I take my first step into a doll shop next month.
I hope you enjoyed this picture form experience. And my apologies to those who are now looking at their bank accounts and figuring what they can do to get one now. Just remember; blame my best friend. (Seriously, don't. She's an awesome person.)
