Shantak-kun plush is cuter than a Lovecraft nightmare
I've got to leave it to Japan. They not managed to make an H.P. Lovecraft creature only cute but cuddly, but I actually want to buy it. Medicom has revealed plushes of Shantak-kun from the anime, Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, and she looks utterly adorable. For all those unfamiliar with Lovecraft lore and wondering what the heck they are looking at, a Shantak is bird-ish creature with a horse's head and the wings of a bat. I daresay that is one of Lovecraft's more tame creations, too. Oh right, back to the plushes. Shantak-kun comes in two sizes: a regular 230 millimeter tall plush (¥3000) and a 125 millimeter tall mascot plush (¥1470). You can, of course, find them at a discount from the links provided.
