SDCC 2013: Square Enix's Play Arts Kai RoboCop

Directive 4 is "Get hype over this figure"

The news leaked out a bit early, but Square Enix has a multitude of new licensed Play Arts Kai on the way. Naturally, the one I gravitated toward at my brief preview night visit was the Play Arts Kai RoboCop. The figure happens to come with the trademark Auto 9 semi-automatic pistol, as well as an alternate leg panel, leading me to assume you will be able to holster the pistol in RoboCop's leg; plus four additional hands, including the spiked fist.

The detail looks pretty much on par for what I'd expect RoboCop to look like. The lips do look a teeny bit big in the sculpt, but I have no complaints otherwise. It's definitely going to put the smaller figma RoboCop to the test.

We'll have more on Play Arts Kai RoboCop and the other new Play Arts Kai figures coming up as part of our San Diego Comic Con 2013 coverage, but Tomopop readers, any early thoughts on this figure?
