SDCC 2012: Sideshow Collectibles - DistributionIn addition to making items from just about every major franchise category on the earth, Sideshow will also tackle distributing goods made by other companies. On hand at their booth were items from Hot Toys, ARH Studios and Pop Culture Shock. We all know what Hot Toys has made but ARH and Pop Culture Shock are two companies that don't come up often at Tomopop. With what they do have on hand at SDCC, that looks to be changing. Pop Culture Shock brought with it some amazing video game merch. These are going to be for the dedicated fan as they are rather large. We're talking 1/4 statues of Street Fighter's Sagat, Mortal Kombat's Scorpion and Thundercats' Tygra. If that's not big enough for you, there's also a 1/1 bust of Sub-Zero. ARH Studios is more focused with statues of the fantasy realm. On hand at the show, they had 3 new pieces, the Angel of Death, the Barbarian, and the Queen of Vampires. It's admittedly not my thing, but the amount of detail put into them is certainly worthy of recognition, particularly the Angel of Death. As I mentioned, Hot Toys was there too, but we've most of these before. What I will say is that Snake and The Boss look great, but I am somewhat creeped-out by The Boss as the figure kind of resembles one of my actual old bosses. What is new on display was the recently-announced 1966 Batmobile as well as the debut of the Iron Man MkVII armor from The Avengers. In any case, you can check more things that won't remind me of old bosses in the gallery below. Did you know? You can now get daily or weekly email notifications when humans reply to your comments.
