As a sci-fi TV show nerd and a figure collector, Quantum Mechanix is one of my favorite companies. And though I can't afford their more extravagant merchandise, there were plenty of smaller things to see at SDCC.

Several Battlestar Galactica items made their debut at the con, including the William Adama maquette and the Viper and Cylon Raider plushes. We also got shots of the life size replica of the Colonials' pistol - the original version, that is. The pistol features an actual Smith and Wesson breach that you can pull the trigger on, although it's modified so it can't actually fire bullets.

There was also stuff from Firefly and Warehouse 13. Examples of the Little Damn Heroes/Big Damn Heroes models were on display, including a miniature Serenity and a small-scale Inara. Check out the gallery for much more!
