Square-Enix's booth didn't have many new figures on hand, but the few new pieces they brought along with them really wowed the crowd. First, the Final Fantasy XIII Trading Arts, then the Bleach Statue Arts figure, and now this, all really show that Square Enix is dedicated to making some great collectibles. The Halo: Reach Play Arts Kai are the newest addition to the Play Arts line and are pretty detailed.

There were 6 figures on hand, 3 from Volume 1 that were completed (Noble Six, Jun, and Emile) and 3 prototypes from Volume 2 (Jorge, Kay, and Carter). For fans of Halo, these are some very well made figures and seem to be pretty large (about 8-10" or so each) and manage to be incredibly intricate while still poseable. Hit the jump to check out a video containing more information about these figures that our lovely Colette Bennett got for us from the bowels of the show floor.

I want the guy with the bionic arm just because he has a bionic arm.

It's a chick, actually.
Squenix just KILLED McFarlane's Reach toys. I mean obliterated them. Everything about these action figures are a million times more awesome than the tiny bullshit figures McFarlane makes for Halo: Reach.
Squeenix (and Kotobukiya, who makes the play arts figures) pretty much destroyed any reason to buy McFarlanes figures. Lets face it, McFarlane has terrible quality control and shoddy materials.
This is what I was waiting for. The only thing I'm going to be weary of is the price tag. If we get the US price of $25, I'll buy. If they're $40, it's gonna be a hard sell.
Guess I'm in the minority then, cause I'll be sticking with Mcfarlane's figures. The size, and the cost turns me off. That, and no scale vehicles.

EVEN BETTER!

I'm staying in this minority, too. Square-Enix has atrocious QC, but takes full advantage of the fact that they'll never have to improve because the FF fans will keep snapping their figures up anyway. This is an opportunity to prove them otherwise.
WHEN WILL THESE BE RELEASED,AND HOW MUCH.......
