SDCC 2010: Mattel's Justice League Unlimited Overview photo

It's somewhat unusual for a cartoon-based toy line to still be going strong 4 years past the series' cancellation, but Mattel's Justice League Universe is doing just that. It could be said that much of the longevity of the line can be attributed to fan-favorite character choices and the lineup shown at SDCC continues that tradition.

Coming to the line in 2010 are five more single carded figures including OMAC and Ultraman, four three-packs including a JSA themed pack, and new online exclusive two-packs.

2011 brings another wave of five figures including B'wana Beast and Hro Talak and another four three-packs featuring a Justice League International pack with Booster Gold, Blue Beetle, and Fire. Awesome. Make sure to check them out in the gallery.

Mattel, you sure know how to make a Marvel fan jealous.

Legacy Comments

I've never been a fan of the line enough to buy any. But that Toyman? GOLD
They do a lot of great-looking stuff.... that I'll never buy because their single-cards are $9 a pop at Target >_< (who, as far as I'm aware, is the only distributor at this point other than Marshalls/TJ Maxx which handles overstock from other stores from where I've picked up a few "Entertainment Earth exclusives"). Meh, there are quite a few villains I really would grudgingly pick up if it were a $5 or even $6 price point.
This was my main toyline for years. Unfortunately poor distribution to Target, the exclusive retailer, and silly price increases, and poor production values have lead me to give it up completely.

That said, Blue Beetle was always my #1 most wanted figure, so I will be a tool and buy that one three pack he is in.
