Kotobukiya - 1/8 Scale

While she may be no Kuroyukihime, Sword Art Online's Asuna is certainly attractive enough in her own right, a fact Kotobukiya's done well to capture in their upcoming figure. With a nickname like "The Flash", you can bet a character like her is often in motion, and they've done a good job creating a figure that shows off the grace of her movement.

Asuna seems poised in mid-leap off the side of a wall, with hair and uniform flowing around her elegantly. With sword at the ready you'd think she's in mid-attack though, which makes me question the choice of facial expression. It's a hard thing to fault when the rest of the figure is so well done, however.

I especially love the details Koto nailed in perfecting Asuna's guild uniform. I've always been a fan of the Templar-ish design they've got going on! Given the title of "Aincrad", one can expect Koto has plans for a follow-up later on, but for now you'll be able to pick her up in May for about ¥7,800.
