While it's hard to dislike the Fate franchise's iconic Saber, particularly in her crisp suits seen in Fate/Zero, there's certainly something to be said for Saber Alter's more typically feminine appearance as well. Wave's capitalized on that to provide its latest Beach Queen figure, and I have to say I'm more than a little captivated.

This is certainly not the Saber many may be used to, right down to the exceptionally uncharacteristic expression. She looks almost alluring, even with popsicle in place. The swimsuit itself is what really stands out to me, though. If a swimsuit could be gothic, Wave's pulled it off and I adore it to pieces! The matte black coloring and lacy trim are lovely touches, and the backless style and ribbons at the back tie the whole thing together.

While this may not be quite as detailed or even as large as most other higher quality figures, I'd go as far to say this is one of my favorite Sabers to date. Pre-orders are open now, and you'll be able to pick her up in November for around ¥3,800.
