Don't you hate it when you love something enough consider investing in a case of blind boxes--not knowing what you're going to get, the copious amounts of doubles you receive, and if you'll find anyone willing to buy the extras off of you. The worst part is obviously that you stand a good chance not getting them all the first time around. If you go to anime conventions, sometimes you can swing a deal with dealers to buy an entire case for cheap, but that really depends on the dealer and the product in question. I'm sure a lot of you have been in this position and it's one I'm finding myself in right now.
Tokimeki.com announced a line of 1.9" ROOKIES figures, based on the hit movie and manga. Those of you who read Japanator probably noticed that I love that series to death. It tells the tale of a delinquent high school baseball team who, with the help of a Great Teacher Onizuka-esque coach, eventually band together in order to make it to the championship. It's listed as a 15 piece set, no doubt failing to count the secret figure whom I suspect is an alternate version of the coach. The set is due out at the end of the month and will run me about $50 a box online. There's a lot of figures, so the probability of not getting them all is really high. Should I chance it? Check out the image below and let me know.
