Queen Mercedes from Odin Sphere takes flight

Queen Mercedes from Vanillaware's Odin Sphere video game has been quite popular lately. Just last month Yamato released a figure of her. Now Alter is announcing their own gorgeous PVC for a February 2010 release. I'm going to have to give this round to Alter. This figure is unbelievable.

This piece is all about action. Not only is captured in flight, but that "greedy" frog is in mid-hop jumping out of her way. I'm crazy about all of the little touches in this sculpt. Instead of just going with a simple striped design pattern, they opted for a much more striking sinuous look to her outfit. I also love the sculpt on those pigtails. Need I mention the perfection of those thighs? This is such an elegant figure. It's inspiring me to pull out the PS2 and give the game another go.
