It really was like something out of a fairy tale. After years of mismanaging the company, Disney's evil ruler ordered the deaths of all the traditional animated film studios in his kingdom. He then threw all of their resources behind new computer-generated films that lacked the heart and soul of their predecessors. Trying to cement his rule, he lured the most successful army of these computer-animators into their legion. Little did he know that their captain, John Lasseter, was sympathetic to the plight of the traditional studios. Due in part to his heroics, the ruler was overthrown. Lasseter returned life to the corpse of Disney's hand-drawn motion pictures and would lead them to a great future.

The Princess and the Frog will be Disney's first film since their return to form. To celebrate this release, Ensco, LLC has crafted this gorgeous porcelain statue of the film's heroine, Tiana. She stands 8 1/2" high, and features some very lovely touches like a pewter tiara. The necklace is also pewter and has a real crystal hanging from it. The paint used on the dress gives it a beautiful pearl-esque quality. This is a stunning figure to commemorate such a historic film. It's limited to only 1,000 pieces, with a list price of $125. Alter Ego Comics is offering 10% off with pre-orders, which will ship next Spring.
