Preorders open for Steins;Gate base with Makise Kurisu photo

One of the coolest things about today's figures are the bases. Many figure manufacturers are taking that plunge in giving their figures a little more character. If a figure has a beautiful base, it definitely increases the chance of me purchasing it. That is why I'm already throwing down the cash for Makise Kurisu of visual novel title Steins;Gate.

The 1/8 scale beauty comes from Kotobukiya and it is gorgeous all around. Cutting to the chase, what makes this figure truly stand out are the unique floating, rusted gears that the lovely Kurisu sits on. Kirisu is just as amazing with her textured coat, leather boots, and loose tie. The dead face with those hypnotizing eyes I can look into all day. Her hair is a bit questionable and the paint is a little rough on her cuffs but that won't change my decision.

Preorders are now available at Hobby Search with a decent retail price of 7,800 yen. And like every other awesome figure, Kurisu will see a September release. Anyone else immediately throwing down their hard earned money on this lady?

I don't know the novel, but the figure looks cool. I love the design with the gears and the jacket looks neat.
Wow! I can't stop looking at her! Very stunning, I'm sold.
This is fantastic.
aww i would love to have it... the problem is money.
Thankfully this is Koto and not Good Smile Company, so that base will actually be there in the final product *cough*YUZUKO PEPPERMINT*cough*.

Word.
that base is so cool *A*
Without a single doubt in my mind, the archaic wear on those gears and the aged texture of her jacket are simply amazing. $80 though, that is mighty steep. On the list it goes with all the other amazing yet expensive figures.
