Dolls have never been my thing. I have never bought any at all! Despite this, Azone's Pureneemo series have constantly amused and teased me with their designs. One day, I know I will cave in and buy one of them.

Over the years I have watched Azone's dolls become better designed, as they began to look closer and closer to their anime counter-parts. However this latest doll from Azone of YuruYuri's invisible protagonist Akaza Akari has a very doll-like feel to her. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing though. I like how her clothing is sewn, almost like it was knit. It has this really old school feel to it. Akarin has a wide, innocent face and matching eyes to go along with it. Her hair put me off a little bit at first, but I appreciate seeing it all stringy and combable instead of all plastic-like and hard. Overall, I like her and think she will be a nice addition to Azone's line.

Akari carries a suggested retail price of ¥12,000 and is expected to ship out sometime in late February of next year. If you want her, you had better hurry. She has already sold out in a few major stores!
