Kotobukiya is adding a new space fighter to their lineup of Ikaruga fighters. Which one? It's the second player model, Hitekki Genkei, and I appreciate its unique design. The Genkei just has a certain charm to it, like it is calling to me. Even though it looks elegant and fragile, it still packs a punch and can do a barrel roll, too!

This model is made to 1/144 scale and stands about 6 inches tall. It has about 200 pre-colored plastic parts and requires glue for assembly, so given the small size of the kit, at least in this writer's opinion, it would be an intermediate difficulty kit. The expected manufacturer's retail price is about ¥4800 and it should ship out sometime in late September.
