With North America getting its share of Transformers figures from the game Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the time has come for Japan to get their assortment of figures. I'll admit that the figures from Fall of Cybertron (and before it War for Cybertron) haven't really wooed me much. Especially when Hasbro loves to give you product shots that look amazing and give you something that looks completely dull.

However, my tune is changing after checking out Japan's upcoming Transformers Generations line featuring the figures released for Fall of Cybertron. 12 figures from this line went up for pre-order that includes Kickback, Starscream, Sideswipe, Ultra Magnus, Air Raid, Soundwave (with Lazerbeak), Soundblaster (with Buzzsaw), and all the Combaiticons. What makes these figures more appealing this time is the usual Japanese paint application giving them a shiny look. Yes, I am wooed by the shiny but it really makes the figures far more attractive.

Transformers Generations TG03 to TG14 are retailing from ¥2,980 to ¥5,200 and will be available starting in January, 2013 with the later releases coming out as late as March, 2013. Have you been holding out for the Japanese releases of these figures? Will you be replacing your current collection? Or are you the type of collector that has to have them all?

Practice your puppeteering and pre-order this Yoshino

DC Collectibles inundates fans with offerings every month which occasionally makes it hard to keep up. Well, hitting the jump would be a great start.

Gintama's Kyubei shows her softer side

[NSFW] Yuna Tachibana returns after some time in the sun
