Pre-order an Akuma statue to sit on your shelf and plan cheap tactics to hit you with photo

If I live to be 137 years old and am able to continue playing video games, I can tell you now that I will never spend more time playing games from any franchise than I will Street Fighter. (That is unless I finally get around to finishing Persona 3. Amirite?) My place is filled with various Street Fighter items that I've picked up over the decades. Upon hearing about State of the Art Toys newest SF-branded statue, you might think that I'd be all over it, right?

Nothing could be further from the case.  It has nothing to do with the quality of the figure. As we've seen time and again, SOTA continues to make gorgeous statues from the license. And this resin likeness of Akuma is no exception. He's monstrous and imposing. He contains all of his signature details and really looks like the in-game character that he's based on. He is a fantastic statue. The reason I'm not interested is because Akuma makes me lose my mind. For me, he is the equivalent of a toreador's red cape to a bull. I'll be playing a game, having a good time for hours. Then the second someone picks Akuma, a rage builds up in me and I feel the need to destroy that cheap sonuvagun. That statue wouldn't last a day before I've smashed it into tiny pieces.

Assuming that you don't have the deep-seeded hatred of the master of the Raging Dragon, this impressive 12" resin statue can be yours for 120 bucks. He'll be shipping out in the second half of October. If you do pick one up, a simple word of warning: hide him before inviting me over for a night of Street Fighter battles. All I'm saying is that I'd hate to owe you a new statue.
