You remember prior to any New Year's festivities that our own Chris Pranger described his love for 90s cartoons and desire to see them as toys. Number 5 on his list was none other than the Samurai Pizza Cats and on this 3rd day of the new year, here comes a new figure from the series.

The figure itself will come to us by way of Japan, which means it's actually relating to the original Cat Ninja Legend Teyandee, but Speedy Cerviche will be released as a poseable action figure in late March/early April. Speedy's figure comes packed the usual accesories, including alternate hands, swords, and shuriken. Also included is a traditional backdrop and stand for his weapons.

There's no word as to what he'll cost, but I'll wager around 3-4,000 yen. This release a shock to be honest and probably one of the biggest surprises of the year, even this early on. With this coming so early in the year, I can only imagine what new surprise announcements we'll see this year.
