While completely dwarfed by the news of (a possible) Castle Grayskull, there were some new Masters of the Universe Classics figures shown at Power-Con 2012. Snake Face, Karatii, and Octavia will be joining the line in 2013 (in the months of April, May, and June respectively). In addition, Geldor was announced as the fan's choice winner (but no prototypes were at the show).

Of the batch, I'm probably most excited for the She-Ra villainess, Octavia. Her design (which includes poseable hair tentacles) is incredibly amusing despite seemingly using a standard-looking female body mold. The fact that she can hold swords with her hair-tentacles is a humorously appealing touch. I have to wonder if the hair may present balance issues, though.

Snake Face seems to come with an alternate head to replicate an action gimmick from the original '80s toy line. Fans of the vintage line will doubtlessly be thrilled by this display option although I have to wonder why Mattel hasn't just started using actual alternate gimmick parts instead of look-a-likes.
