Need more Guitar Hero figures? Try McFarlane Toys' Guitar Hero Rockers

2:30 PM on 10.16.2008 // Brian Szabelski

After McFarlane Toys picked up the rights to make figures based on the Guitar Hero franchise, I was excited. Unfortunately, things haven't quite gone well: their Slash figure was a total bust, and their other pieces didn't really catch my eye. Well, they've finally succeeded in at least getting my attention - and not screwing things up too bad - with their Guitar Hero Rockers figure line.

The tiny 2" high line of figures features Guitar Hero II's Eddie Knox, Axel Steel, Lars Ümlaüt and Johnny Napalm, all recreated with a more cartoonish feel. They're set for a February release at $7each, which isn't too terrible. I expect that these will be commercially available at Wal-Mart, Target and other big box retailers, as well as at online stores, so finding them shouldn't be too hard. I might be tempted to pick up all four, though, mostly because they actually look good.
