Pop Culture Shock moves to new sales model for 2013

Will now be selling directly to customers

Pop Culture Shock Toys have sent us some news, and it's a little surprising: they're going with a direct-to-customer business model, meaning they'll be dealing with their own products in their own store. I'm not sure if it means they're cutting retailers like Sideshow Collectibles out of the picture entirely, but it does mean that everything Pop Culture Shock makes will now be available directly from them. That includes their next two pre-orders, the 1/4-scale Shao Kahn from the Mortal Kombat line and a Street Fighter diorama featuring Akuma and Gouken. 

In the press release, Pop Culture Shock's president and founder, Jerry Macaluso, says the switch could mean "10-20 percent lower prices, giving fans even more input into our selections, and being able to offer exciting variants and smaller-run specials." We'll probably get some more details as time goes on, but if there's any questions you have, let us know and we'll see if PCS has answers for you.
