If you have ever wondered what would happen if artist Momo Okada put her spin on the Pokemon series, we have your answer: pure, though slightly odd, cuteness! Pokemon Centers across Japan, starting August 11, will begin carrying the PokeMomo series, with merchandise all based on Okada-sensei's designs. The characters chosen to be represented in this line are Pikachu (of course), Snorlax, Gengar, Plusle, and Minun. The highlights include plush pass cases (¥1200 each) of Pikachu's smiling face as well as a the full Gengar (not to be confused with the Full Monty), a Plusle and Minun plush keychain set (¥800), and best of all, the coolest Snorlax plush I have ever seen (¥3500) . I mean, look at him (it?)! He's large and in charge and that face is hilarious.

 Oh, and there was other stuff like: a pouch (¥1200), mini tote bag (¥1500), compact mirror (¥1300), comb (¥700), stacking mug (¥1000), two pin sets (¥500 each), two pairs of short socks (¥420 each), a pikachu shirt (¥2800), three iPhone cases (¥2000 each), a clear folder (¥210), a sheet of stickers (¥420), a set of clips (¥420), a notebook (¥350), and three pretty cool pens (¥580 each). Don't ask me to explain why a pen costs more than a notebook. 

I've got to say, there are quite a few things in this collection that I badly want. Unfortunately, these are Japan-only. If you want get your paws on them as much as I do, I'd recommend a proxy service like Tokyo Hunter.
