PAK girls gone wild! Harley & Ivy up for pre-orderSquare-Enix's Play Arts Kai Batman: Arkham City series Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn are currently up for pre-order over at Big Bad Toy Store. As BBTS tends to jump the gun, bear in mind that these photos don't necessarily reflect the finished product especially where paint is concerned. While some people were less than pleased by Harley Quinn's costume change from a deranged nurse to a more, to put it lightly, skanky outfit in Batman: Arkham City, I personally was okay with it (mostly because I didn't like the nurse outfit). Granted, I completely agree that it would make perfect sense for the character to wear her "classic" costume instead (considering that the character is neurotic and traditionally models herself after her namesake to please her meglomaniacal "boyfriend"), but I also like the look of this outfit. Plus, in the outfit's defense, skanks are cool. There's a reason why Jersey Shore lasted as long as it did. The Play Arts Kai Harley Quinn features some very solid sculpting and, on the whole, I do like it quite a bit more than the previous Batman: Arkham Asylum version. I'm not quite as pleased with the overall look of Poison Ivy. For starters, she has a rather disturbing bulge where one wouldn't expect. Granted, there's probably some rational explanation for that but it's not what comes to mind when I see it. Beyond that, the character suffers from having a lot of bare skin which traditionally makes jointing look messy. She comes with some vines as well as a stand, which should make her a decent display piece. Both figures are listed as having an August release, but that might not be a reliable date.
