Penguin Parade

In case hotties like today's earlier Penguin Parade release just aren't your thing, they've also decided to show off the latest addition to their Petanko lineup, the adorable Popura Taneshima from Working!!. Chibi figures have never been my thing, but I do have to admit she's a cute little thing.

Actually, her pose for some reason is almost rather reminiscent of Jintai's creepy little fairies, though I can't quite put my figure on just why. It may be the similar mouth style as well as her rather childlike pose, perhaps? Personally I think I'd like to see a little more to this line than just what's offered, though. While she may be considerably cheaper than a similarly proportioned Nendoroid, running only ¥2,500, the lack of accessories and a very simple overall design kind of gives me pause.

What do you think? Too little to attract, or does the cheaper cost make up for it? If you're so inclined, you'll be able to pick her up this coming April.
