Orchid Seed's Konomi finally takes a release date to heart

Every so often, there are figures that get delayed for some reason, and it's always difficult to wait longer than you expected for a long-awaited addition to your collection. In this case, however, I'm surprised To Heart fans aren't up in arms over the issues that have cropped up over Orchid Seed's Konomi Yuzuhara. Originally set to be released in November of 2009, a number of delays have prevented her from actually showing up. The most recent issue, apparently caused by a mold leaving a mark on her thigh, has set her release all the way up until July.

In any case, it's a nice enough figure, though it's a little too lolicon for my tastes. The pose, the frilly pink dress, it all seems to go beyond "precious" into "pedo". Adding to the creep-factor, if you can't help but think the poor girl's dressed far too heavily, everything is castoffable, leaving you with one nearly naked figure that seems more along Orchid Seed's usual designs.

Still, she is cute enough, and if you're less depraved than I am and can see the possible innocence for what it is (am I kidding myself?), it might be a sweet addition to one's collection to the tune of around $90 USD.
