Square Enix's booth at New York Comic Con was, of course, home to a number of released and future Play Arts Kai figures on display, along with other collectible goodies. Some of them we've seen before, like the Tekken Play Arts Kai figures, Guile and Ibuki Street Fighter prototypes or the Spartan Soldier and Sara Palmer Play Arts Kai figures from Halo 4. But there were a few new surprises and some new painted figures, like Lara Croft and Hitman's Agent 47.

The big takeaways from the NYCC booth were:

• The reveal of six(!) different keyblades between the two Kingdom Hearts Tron Riku and Tron Sora figures. That's a lot of them, for sure, and more than I was definitely expecting.
• Play Arts Kai Dark Knight Heath Ledger Joker was there, along with the first glimpse I've seen of Dark Knight Rises' Catwoman, as portrayed by Anne Hathaway. Ledger Joker comes with an alternate head and a bank robbery masked head (yes!).
• Spike and Vicious were both at the booth, painted up all nice and showing off their poseability. What caught my eye more than that was the boxes; not only do they look pretty cool, but Square Enix is labeling them as "01: Spike Spiegel" and "02: Vicious". Just a quirk, or a sign of things to come? We'll have to see.
• There's new Trading Arts Kai figures coming in two waves: One features Sephiroth, Rinoa and Aerith, and the second for February features Tidus, Tifa and Lightning.
• The hero from Starship Troopers: Invasion is getting their own Play Arts Kai figure as well, and it looks pretty awesome.
