By now, we've all seen Kotobukiya's 1/8-scale ArtFX J series Vash the Stampede online (and you can pre-order him from Japanese retailers), but Kotobukiya brought the silver-painted prototype to New York Comic Con. As this was the first time we'd seen him up close, we got a few shots of the prototype, and ... well, just look at him. All that detail on his jacket, his gun, his trademark spiky hair ... give a lot of credit to sculptor Tatsuya Hattori for putting together one of the best looking pieces we've seen for 2013 so far. That doesn't even mention the worn and torn base, the removable glasses or Kuroneko-sama coming as an accessory.

And for those of you asking about Wolfwood ... we don't have any new news to report on that front other than with Vash as a January release in Japan and a February release in North America, Wolfwood should be coming sometime in 2013.
