NYCC 2011: Bandai

10:00 AM on 10.26.2011

Next up on our New York Comic Con coverage is Bandai. You'll notice that we have a ton of photos for this booth, for the sheer fact that they brought so many things with them! They had so many toys on display and for sale that we couldn't get shots of everything; there were literally dozens of people streaming through that kept us from getting tighter shots. The crush of people didn't deter us from asking Adam Newman of Bandai about their distribution through  Bluefin and how they're ready and eager to bring some of the best merch for shows like Tiger & Bunny, Dragonball Z and One Piece over to the states.

Hit the jump to watch the video for more information about upcoming Bandai/Bluefin/Tamashii releases!

I really dug the display. The armor and the LEDs reflecting off the panels really made it look galactic.
I thought there would be some Dragonball stuff, not almost just OP...

If you watch the video you can see some cases of Dragonball stuff. Not sure why there are no pictures.

And the OP stuff is pretty cool. I'm quite liking the big Franky, though I'm sure the price will frighten me off (based on what we know, it already has). Sucks that there's still no new OP S.H. Figuarts. I'm still wondering what they're going to do with them, they've got 3 of the crew done, but all pre time skip. And with NW stuff in both the anime and the manga now, it would seem only normal that they would do the crew post time skip in S.H. Figuarts form. But then that would leave those original 3 alone, which doesn't seem right. They could always just do them all, pre and past time skip, but that's a lot of figures and that would also leave no time for cool villains or side characters, especially at the rate they're going at.
Ah, would you look at that, $120. Well, unfortunately that's just not doable at the moment, especially with so much other cool stuff to buy.
wow, good job Adam. I have to say, he's the best booth interviewee I've heard in a long long time.

Also, these interviews are great (except the mic :D), good work y'all! I appreciate the coverage!
My god I really really hope that Virgo Shaka its just a prototype cause his shoulder thingys look really weird the Appendix that came out some time ago looks better.. still the rest look awesome I was really skeptical about this new line case the existing Myth Cloth are already great but after I got my hands on that Gemini Saga I COMPLETELY change my mind already pre-order Aries Mu :P. and from the look of it seems like Scorpio Milo is the next one cause he seems almost finish in those pics
